This recipe for Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookies was given to me many years ago by a student’s mom. They are not reduced-calorie, gluten-free, nor do they use egg or sugar substitutes. These cookies are the real deal all the way and the best I have ever had or made – plus the recipe is simple! So , when you feel like a splurge or want to make a home-baked gift, try these out!

    1 tsp salt

    1 and 3/4 cups flour

    3/4 tsp baking soda

    1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

    * optional 1 cup chopped nuts

~ cream all the wet ingredients

    ~ add the dry ingredients

~ use a tablespoon to scoop balls of dough onto greased cookie sheets (or use baking parchment)

Yields 2 and 1/2 dozen to die for cookies!
