Early September and a house guest who has never experienced Longwood Gardens – a perfect prescription for a field trip. Only twenty minutes from our home, Longwood Gardens is a favorite destination of mine to share with visitors. So off we went after lunch to see part of the gardens. These pictures are from the Flower Garden Walk, Italian Water Gardens, and the Conservatory. We were lucky enough to be able to go in person, but you can take a virtual tour of Longwood Gardens at http://longwoodgardens.org/gardens/view-all-gardens too!

  1. What a beautiful formal garden, some of the blooms you photographed are stunning. The Italian water garden is amazing. Thanks I think your friend, Terri Jay is a lucky person to go with you on this side trip while visiting. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for stopping by and touring part of Longwood Gardens with me! This is a trip we take many of our guests on since we are fortunate to be only twenty minutes from this famous garden!
      Happy Gardening!

I was indeed a very lucky guest to have been taken to this beautiful garden. I was a bit overwhelmed by all there was to see, so it is definitely on my list of places to revisit. Thank you Barb for showing me this beautiful, tranquil garden to begin with.
