DIY Project : Use Repurposed Materials to Create a Bird Bath

Repurposed materials make a wonderful bird bath and add a splash of color

Do you need a bird bath but find the price tags at the garden centers don’t fit your wallet? Use what you have at home to create a unique and functional watering station for your feathered friends! Rummaging around in my garden shed, I came up with an old metal step stool, a clay plant saucer and a little iron bird decorative piece.

I set this sweet project up in less than five minutes with no tools or special skills required! In fact, it took me longer to decide on the spot in the garden to place my new treasure than it did to put it together! And, you won’t believe how many people think I paid a lot at a “Shabby Chic” type store for my repurposed results!

Note:  If you don’t have a metal step stool, an old wooden one can be used ~ you could even paint it if you want a certain accent color in your garden.

So, start looking at that stuff laying around in your garage, basement and shed in a whole new way. There are garden accents waiting to happen!
