Lamps with a Gardener’s Touch

I’ve had a couple yard sale lamps on the potting bench in our garden room for sometime now. My intent was to find some wonderful shades to replace the stained and torn existing ones. But, do you know how much lamp shades cost? Especially the cute gardening themed ones, that I thought I wanted, were too expensive for my pair of $5 lamps. So I came up with another idea that I quite like …

Replace the old, torn lamp shade with an inverted flower pot!

Just switching out the old shade with a weathered flowerpot instantly changed the look of my yard sale lamp!

A flower pot lamp shade makes a lamp perfect for a greenhouse, garden room or potting shed!

My weathered terracotta flower pots add a real garden flair to the green yard sale lamps. Best of all, they were given to me for free by a friend cleaning out her garage!

My weathered terracotta pots really fit in on the potting bench!

Now the lamps look like they belong on the potting bench in our garden room! And, it cost me nothing to change the shades! My kind of deal!

Thanks, Cecilia! It was a real inexpensive fix and I’m very happy with the “gardening” look they provide.
