• Easy Sugar Cookies ~ No Rolling or Cutting!

    Easy Sugar Cookies with no cookie cutters!

     

     

     Love sugar cookies but hate all the rolling and cutting out shapes? Try my Easy Sugar Cookies recipe that is as simple as a drop cookie recipe! No cookie cutters required!

    Easy Sugar Cookies  (yields 7-8 dozen)

    1 Cup softened butter                 1 Teaspoon vanilla

    2 Cups sugar                               5 Cups flour

    2 Eggs                                        2 Teaspoons Baking Soda

    1 Cup salad oil                           2 Teaspoons Cream of Tartar

     Pinch of salt

    ~ Cream all the wet ingredients together then add the dry ingredients

    ~ Roll into balls and flatten

    ~ Sprinkle with colored sugar

    ~ Bake on a greased cookie sheet at 350 degrees F for 10-12 minutes

    Use a teaspoon to scoop up dough, then roll into balls and place on a greased cookie sheet.

    Flatten gently with the bottom of a drinking glass dipped into sugar! Then bake until golden brown around the cookies’ edges.

    Barb, This looks very similar to the recipe my mom gave me many years ago. It’s great. I think the cream of tartar is the secret. Happy Holidays!
