Autumn Garden Accents Inside and Out !
Fall Potting Sink
Leaves are drifting down, crunching under our feet as we pull our sweaters close for a mid-morning Fall walk outside. The wispy scent of wood smoke in the air from a neighbor’s fireplace is yet another autumn confirmation. Flowers are a sweet memory as I collect their dried remnants for filling the window boxes. Pine cones, bittersweet and gourds are added to the mix as I decorate the outside of our home for fall.
After finishing up outdoors, I slip back into the house to a hot bowl of homemade chicken-vegetable soup from the crock pot to warm me up. Just what I needed! The steaming soup tastes delicious and makes the kitchen smell so homey.

Inside, gathered seed pods, bittersweet and gourds decorate our Fall kitchen. You may find a lovely floral pumpkin centerpiece full of mums on the dining table. The beautiful Wedgewood dishes, with their thistle and dried flower design, are perfect for Fall dinners and Thanksgiving. You will find a flickering cinnamon-scented candle burning on the kitchen counter with a tiny owl tray and gourds surrounding it.

You are my garden hero! I always have these great ideas for fall/winter decorating. 99% of them never happen. I’m lucky to get the furniture put away. Question, do you use willow to make the stars?
Hi, Karen, and thanks for coming by! I know what you mean about getting projects done, I always think of 20 and do 2 myself : ) You can use any kind of thin branches for the star – these are willow. You have a good eye!
